Sara Westbrook

http://www.sarawestbrook.com

Sara Westbrook is a Canadian motivational pop singer/songwriter living in St. Thomas Ontario.

“I feel it is important to share my life lessons, to let others know we are all on the same journey. I am grateful for all my successes and believe it is very important to give back. "

Sara is very proud to represent Kids Help Phone (www.kidshelpphone.ca) as an artist ambassador.

“Going to schools, influencing the lives of young people through music and sharing is very important to me. I want them to know that they have the ability to make powerful choices for a positive impact in their life.”

Sara is honoured to have been nominated in the category of singer/songwriter for the London Music Awards 2007.

"I am so excited. This nomination is a validation that my music is making an impact."

Sara has recorded 3 albums. Her newest album Freedom is available at the CD Plus store in London and St. Thomas.

“There is always that nervous anticipation….how does it sound?….did I capture everything I wanted to? Our ears expect perfection in an album. For me it is much easier to perform live. I can feed off the audience. In the studio I have only myself.”

Daniel Irvine- Singer/ Songwriter/ Guitarist

Daniel Irvine is a Canadian singer/songwriter/guitarist from the South Western Ontario region.

Daniel’s style is a blend of blues, jazz and rock. His songs are written from the soul and delivered with passion and zeal. His influences lie anywhere from James Taylor to Steely Dan to a myriad of jazz and blues artists old and new. His colorful chord progressions, complimented by a lean vocal style make for a unique and pleasurable listening experience.

rooted in Jazz and Blues

review posted by:  Anne Belcourt

Daniel Irvine's music has a new fresh approach to today's versions of artists such as John Mayer, Jack Johnson, James Taylor, with a jazz/blues effect. I have heard Daniel play live as well as his past cd production. I have purchased both cds, and I feel given a chance, Daniel could become a new Canadian artist with lots to offer. With Canadian support, Dan could be very successful and make us all proud Canadians.

BRIAN VOLLMER OF HELIX:

 FROM LONDON ONTARIO

http://www.planethelix.com

Brian in Chicago shirt Apr 2004.jpg (567800 bytes)

Brian Vollmer is the only remaining member of Helix from the original six that initially gathered in that cramped practice hall on Margaret Avenue in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.  Brian has seen the band from it's inception, through it's ups and downs, through it's bad times and it's good times.

Brian got into the band because he had an overwhelming desire to be in a rock band from the time he bought his first album, "American Woman", by the Guess Who. He used to stand in his parents basement listening to "Monster" by Steppenwolfe and "air" guitar along to the record. He drove his mother and father crazy, but through it all they supported him in everything he did.

These days Brian manages every aspect of the Helix organization from booking tours to distributing Helix merchandise. On top of all of this, Brian also operates a successful, elite Bel Canto vocal teaching business, performs classical music with symphony orchestras and spends time on his passion for architectural antiques.

.GARY McGILL

LONDON'S GREAT GUITAR PLAYER

loralie2Stratford.JPG (126330 bytes)

"It has been said about Gary McGill that he simply is London Ontario's
"All Round" best guitar player.
Bill Durst of Thundermug fame refers to him as 'Professor Guitar'.
On any given night, at any given time, he may offhandedly employ the
techniques of Steve Morse, Lenny Breau, Eddie Van Halen, John
McLaughlin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Allan Holdsworth, or Erics Johnson or
Clapton, to name a few, not to mention a few hat tips to Albert Lee,
Bruce Cockburn or Michael Hedges.

After 12 years of working on new material since the last CD, "Alien
Resident in Waiting," the all acoustic album "Music for Good People" is
ready to be recorded and should be released before year's end.

The Screamin' Flamingo

A Jumpin’ swingin’ rockin’ good time guaranteed!

The Screamin’ Flamingoes have been making waves on the Southern Ontario music scene for some seven months now and it’s no wonder.  Their goal is simple…entertain the audience with a well-rehearsed professional presentation.  This goes way beyond just playing songs; it’s what makes the difference between a band and a SHOW!  Lighting, choreography, stage effects, uptown dress, stylized retro gear all topped off with some dazzling musicianship….it’s what fills rooms and keeps ‘em coming back for more.

The Screamin’ Flamingoes are dedicated to the preservation of great Blues, Soul, Roackabilly, classic R and B and good ol’ Rock and Roll.  Along with their substantial repertoire of originals, you can expect to hear tunes from such greats as Ray Charles, Sonny Boy Williamson, Delbert McClinton, Sam Cooke, Kid Ramos, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Taj Mahal, Collin James, Houndog Taylor, Big Jack Johnson, Jimmie Reed…and hey, they’ll even throw in some Vince Gill!!

 PHANTOM OF THE MIND

http://www.myspace.com/phantomofthemind

FROM:  LONDON, ONTARIO

Phantom of the Mind was spawned on the evening of October 31, 2004. What turned out to be a Halloween jam soon became a long song writing session. Jason Cripps and Jeremiah MacIntyre did not take long before they started to introduce their own personal music and musical influences on each other that just had to be shared with the rest of the world. The next step was simple, and a decision that took no hesitation- they had to get into the studio! The Blueroom Recording Studio located in Watford, Ontario was the perfect  place to take their musical ideas and to mold them into a digitally stored frenzy of sound. Infused with musical minds of the past and present- linking together The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Doors, John Lennon, and STP through an intestine of a sound stuffed emotion taking on issues such as love, confusion, misery, happiness, and more all at the same time! With pumping bass, lines a full entree of solos, and sinagable melodies- mixing sounds of the percussive skin, and waves of electronic ivory they have taken what is simple melody and tweaked it into a cornucopia of audio pleasure. Now this inherent sound has been taken to the stage upon the release of their debut disc Cant Remember to Forget You. In the summer of 2006, Phantom of the Mind reinvented itself with the additions Brian Funk on bass, Tim Schisler on percussion and Mike Funk on guitar- they have devised a stage performance that delivers.

Whether they perform as an acoustic act, or spike it up a notch as a full band, their performance is one that will inspire.  Full of energy and passion, they drive their music to the beat of their souls and the musical journey that ensues will be memorable. They are very proud of their sound, and they truly have a sound that they can call our own.

  MIKE GRAHAM

FROM: LONDON, ONTARIO

IMG_1114.JPG (91037 bytes)

"Originally from Sauble Beach (ON), Mike Graham plays his original style of acoustic music. As an artist, he has been heavily influenced by the typical stereotypes of the laid-back beach lifestyle. With a warm voice and crisp guitar, he writes music that is lyrically passionate and very catchy to the ear.

His debut CD "Worth the Wait..." has become a huge underground smash through relentless playing, word of mouth, touring, self promotion and a very loyal fanbase.  After returning from a cross-Canada tour in November, Mike has relocated to London where he is currently recording a follow up album for release in summer 07!

TOMMYROT

FROM: LONDON, ONTARIO

http://www.tommyrot.org

tommyrot.jpg (185863 bytes)

Tommyrot has been around for close to 10 years, in November 2005 they underwent a significant personnel change and emerged a new band. Joining veteren members Pete Comrie (Drums) and Ken Ross (Bass), guitarist Lee Nesbitt and vocalist Barry Neatby brought their own eclectic musical inspirations and writing styles to the table.  As a result the new Tommyrot is finally able to boast a perfect combination of strong melodies and kick-ass rock'n'roll.

The band has  completed the recording and mixing of their full length CD at their own studio in London. They hope to release this by Christmas 2006. As they evolve, the privacy and creative freedom of this location provide Tommyrot with complete control over their time and sound.

Tommyrot does not hide behind any labels to describe them, or fashions to define them. Straight up rock and roll is what they deliver.

This is a band that creates great music.
No more, no less...
